Goodbye or au revoir, I can’t tell just yet.
Yes, it’s time for yet another sabbatical. The complete lack of posts of the last month were a big clue to the handful of readers that my inconsistency had reached critical levels again, and I’ve been ruminating on what to do with this site once more.
In the same week that saw the joyful news that Alan Davis will be writing and drawing a new series of The ClanDestine, and the less-joyful news that Johnny Bacardi will be going on a sabbatical himself (the chap who probably inspired me to start this blog in the first place, with his writing style and similar tastes; sorry to lay the blame at your door, JB …), I have decided to post this ‘Interruption To Service’ notice.
I hope to be back to writing; I just have to work out how and what and when. I don’t think the daily schedule was working, and I was failing when it came to writing about topics that are current (which I think is one of the main aspects of blogging). My reviews aren’t particularly novel or funny (although I think they are okay), I wasn’t adding to the level of discussion, and I certainly wasn’t posting anything in the way of interesting, novel content (which can be found at a variety of great blogs, a selection of which can be seen on my links).
Therefore, time to step back and work some stuff out and hopefully come back better. My periodical sabbaticals seem to be a regular occurrence here (at least it’s been a longer haul this time), which is why I have never mentioned my anniversary.
To those who have seen my blog and those who left comments and those who linked me and those who had me in their blogroll, you have my hearty thanks, and I wish you all the best. I hope to catch up with you in the future.
If you have been, thanks for reading.
Bummer. I only just got here and you’re leaving. I’m just flipping through old posts, enjoying them immensely. Hopefully it is just ‘au revoir’.
